Someone is on watch all night

You covered their night. We'll cover yours.

Confidential peer support for firefighters, EMS, dispatchers, officers and everyone who works the hard shifts. After a rough call, the people who've been there are awake and ready.

In crisis right now? Call or text 988, any hour.

What the light means

The light stays on

Your family may be asleep when you get home. We're not. A trained peer is a tap away at any hour of any shift.

Steady ground

Peer supporters come from your own world. They've worked the same calls and won't need anything explained.

Morning comes

Every long night ends. Set the shift down before you carry it home, and know you made it through another one.

How it works

  1. A hard call happens

Your peer support lead logs it and picks who was on it. Nobody has to raise their hand.

  2. A private check-in arrives

Each person gets a text or email with a private link. There's no app to install or password to remember.

  3. One tap to answer

"I'm okay," "I'd like to talk" or "Not right now." Ask to talk and a peer reaches out the way you prefer.

Private by design

Asking for help shouldn't cost anyone their privacy. We built Second Watch so it doesn't.

  • Only your peer team sees your answers. Check-ins go to your agency's peer supporters, not your chain of command.
  • Encrypted with your agency's own key. Names, contact details and notes are encrypted in the database.
  • Every change is on the record. An audit log tracks each change to the data, including changes made directly in the database.
  • A journal that never leaves your phone. Keep private notes locked behind your own PIN, stored only on your device.

Morning came

Bring Second Watch to your team.

Second Watch is built and supported by Shady Knoll Labs. If you run peer support for a department, a dispatch center or any team that works the hard shifts, let's talk about getting your people set up.
